Searching spin-mass interaction using a diamagnetic levitated magnetic-resonance force sensor

چکیده

Axion-like particles (ALPs) are predicted to mediate exotic interactions between spin and mass. We propose an ALP-searching experiment based on the levitated micromechanical oscillator, which is one of most sensitive sensors for spin-mass forces at a short distance. The proposed tests resonant interaction polarized electron spins diamagnetically microsphere. By periodically flipping spins, contamination from nonresonant background can be eliminated. microoscillator prospectively enhance sensitivity by nearly $10^3$ times over current experiments ALPs with mass in range 4 meV 0.4 eV.

Imaging using Magnetic Resonance Force Microscopy

We demonstrate one-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance imaging of the semiconductor GaAs with 170 nanometer slice separation and resolve two regions of reduced nuclear spin polarization density separated by only 500 nanometers. This is achieved by force detection of the magnetic resonance, Magnetic Resonance Force Microscopy (MRFM), in combination with optical pumping to increase the nuclear...

Realization of generalized quantum searching using nuclear magnetic resonance

According to the theoretical results, the quantum searching algorithm can be generalized by replacing the Walsh-Hadamard(W-H) transform by almost any quantum mechanical operation. We have implemented the generalized algorithm using nuclear magnetic resonance techniques with a solution of chloroform molecules. Experimental results show the good agreement between theory and experiment. PACS numbe...
